MORRISSEY cancels Las Vegas residency because of 'unforeseen logistical circumstances'

Monday, August 10, 2026 - Morrissey has abruptly cancelled his planned four-night Las Vegas residency at Wynn’s Encore Theater, just days before the shows were due to begin.

The former Smiths frontman was scheduled to perform on August 14, 15, 18 and 19, but fans were informed that the residency would not go ahead because of “unforeseen logistical challenges.” The cancellations have also seen the event listings removed from Ticketmaster and Wynn’s website, leaving ticket holders facing an unexpected change of plans.

The decision adds another disruption to Morrissey’s already unpredictable live schedule in 2026. Earlier this year, he cancelled a Valencia performance after saying severe sleep deprivation had left him unable to perform, while other concerts have also been called off in recent years for different reasons.

No further explanation has been given for the Las Vegas cancellation, and there is currently no indication that the four shows will be rescheduled.

For fans who had planned trips around the residency, the timing makes the cancellation particularly frustrating, with the first show originally less than a week away.

Morrissey’s latest move is now generating renewed attention around his touring plans and whether further performances will be affected. With no detailed explanation beyond the logistical issue, fans are being left waiting for clarity on refunds, future dates and what comes next for the veteran singer’s live schedule.
