Ukraine and 9 other countries form coalition to protect Europe from ballistic missile

Monday, July 13, 2026- Ukraine has joined nine European countries in a new coalition aimed at strengthening protection against ballistic missile threats as security concerns continue to rise across the continent.
The partnership focuses on improving air and missile defense cooperation, expanding intelligence sharing, and accelerating the development and deployment of advanced interception systems to better respond to evolving regional threats.
The coalition reflects a growing commitment among participating nations to enhance Europe's collective defense capabilities amid ongoing security challenges. Officials say closer coordination will help improve preparedness, boost military interoperability, and ensure faster responses to potential missile attacks, while reinforcing long-term regional stability.
Defense analysts view the initiative as a significant step toward building a more resilient European security framework. As participating countries move forward with joint planning and investment, the coalition is expected to play an increasingly important role in strengthening missile defense and safeguarding critical infrastructure across Europe.
