TRUMP was paid over $10 million by Amazon for MELANIA documentary

Thursday, June 2, 2026- New financial disclosures have revealed that President Donald Trump received a $10.71 million licensing fee tied to Amazon MGM Studios' Melania documentary.

The payment, disclosed in his latest annual financial filing, has renewed public attention on the high-profile deal between Amazon and the Trump family. The documentary, centered on First Lady Melania Trump, was one of the company's most expensive documentary acquisitions.

Reports indicate Amazon paid approximately $40 million to secure the documentary rights and invested millions more in marketing before the film's theatrical and streaming release.

While the documentary attracted significant media attention, critics questioned the scale of the investment and whether the deal reflected broader business or political considerations. Amazon has maintained that the project was acquired because it believed audiences would be interested in the film.

The disclosure is likely to fuel continued debate over the financial relationships between major corporations and public officials. As scrutiny of political finances intensifies, the figures revealed in official filings are expected to remain a focal point for lawmakers, media organizations, and the public, keeping the Amazon-Melania deal firmly in the national spotlight.
