Antiques Roadshow star dies aged 39



Sunday, June 12, 2026- The television world is mourning the loss of Antiques Roadshow expert Theo Burrell, who has died at the age of 39 following a four-year battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. 

Burrell became a familiar face on the BBC programme after joining in 2018, earning viewers' admiration for her expertise in ceramics and decorative arts as well as her warm and engaging personality.

After being diagnosed in 2022, Theo used her platform to raise awareness of brain cancer and campaign for increased research funding. 

Despite being given a devastating prognosis, she continued to embrace life, celebrating major family milestones, including her wedding and her young son's first day at school. Her courage and determination inspired thousands throughout her illness.

Tributes have poured in from colleagues, friends, and fans, who have remembered Theo as a passionate expert, devoted mother, and tireless advocate for brain tumour awareness. 

Her legacy extends far beyond television, leaving a lasting impact through both her work on Antiques Roadshow and her efforts to support others facing similar battles.
