Tuesday, June 16, 2026- Two men have been found guilty in connection with a coordinated arson plot targeting properties linked to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, in a case that has raised fresh concerns about political security and foreign-linked proxy activity.
A London court ruled that the attacks involved deliberate planning and coordination, with fires set at multiple locations connected to the Prime Minister’s past residences and assets.
Investigators said the attacks were carried out in May 2025, when a vehicle and two properties associated with Starmer were deliberately set on fire.
Prosecutors described how the perpetrators were allegedly directed through encrypted messaging platforms by an unidentified online handler known as “El Money,” who offered payment in cryptocurrency for the arson attacks and requested video proof of execution.
The case is now being viewed through a wider security lens, with officials warning that such incidents reflect an evolving pattern of remote recruitment and low-cost sabotage targeting public figures.
While no formal state link has been proven in court, intelligence scrutiny continues around possible foreign influence networks operating through digital platforms.
