90s rapper MYSTIKAL sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to raping woman in 2022

Wednesday, June 17, 2026- Rapper Mystikal has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to a 2022 rape charge in Louisiana.

The sentence follows a plea agreement that resolved a case involving allegations tied to an incident at his home, bringing a formal legal conclusion to proceedings that had drawn significant public attention.

Court reports indicate the plea deal reduced the severity of the original charge, but still resulted in the maximum term allowed under the agreement.

Prosecutors argued the sentence reflected the seriousness of the offense, while the defense had sought leniency before sentencing. The victim also provided testimony during the proceedings, which influenced the court’s final decision.

The ruling marks one of the most consequential legal outcomes in Mystikal’s long history of criminal cases and effectively ends the current chapter of litigation related to the 2022 allegations.

He is now set to serve the 20-year term as ordered by the court, with any future changes dependent on appeals or post-conviction legal motions.
